Mobile payments agreement signed between Moneygram and Vodafone

This new partnership has just been signed between the two companies to allow for broad scale M-Pesa signups.

Vodafone has now entered into a deal with Moneygram, a specialist in currency transfers, which will make it possible for users to exchange mobile payments from among 200 different countries to other users who are signed up for the M-Pesa service.Mobile Payments Agreement

The rollout is now being scheduled to occur in phases, starting in the spring of 2014.

Once active, it will allow consumers to use mobile payments to add money directly into accounts with M-Pesa or to send money directly through transfers from one account to the other. This will be possible through the mobile apps or through the official Moneygram website. This will help to provide a service that the companies feel is greatly needed at the moment.

There is a demand that is currently unfilled for sending mobile payments to family and friends worldwide.

According to the director of M-Pesa at Vodafone, Michael Joseph, “There is huge demand for sending funds back to family and friends in your home market and an estimated $90bn2 per year is transferred to M-Pesa markets from around the globe.” He went on to say that this newly formed partnership that his company has established with Moneygram will now allow them to offer the broadest network, worldwide, as well as the most access points for consumers who are hoping to be able to send money to users of the M-Pesa service.

M-Pesa is already available in a number of countries, particularly in the Middle East, South Asia, and Africa. These nations include India, Egypt, Tanzania, Kenya, Lesotho, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mozambique, South Africa, and Fiji.

The purpose of this mobile payments service is to make it possible for “unbanked” individuals, that is, people who don’t have access to the traditional type of bank account, to be able to send money to one another through the use of their cell phones. This has made it especially popular throughout those regions of the globe and it is continuing to experience considerable use as well as growth, there.

Social media marketing is increasing career opportunities

The field, as a whole, is now expanding and offering great potential for a range of jobs.

Social media marketing and technology is now expanding at a tremendous rate and as the return on investment (ROI) of marketing over this channel is now proving itself quite solidly, training and careers are opening up quite broadly and are offering opportunities that were never available before.

The use of social media is no longer limited to basic personal connections.

Marketers and brands alike are now providing relevant and interactive experiences to consumers who can then receive information and discounts, as well as provide feedback, ask questions, take part in discussions, and enter into competitions, among other things. The floodgates have now been thrown open as companies of all sizes use social media marketing on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, and other comparable platforms to generate a buzz, spread their messages, and target their prospective customers.

These social media marketing efforts also provide information to brands about the people who are buying.

Brands, companies, and consumers have all embraced the social presence together and the latest research is making it clear that the use of social networks it the top activity that takes place online. In order to take full advantage of what these platforms have to offer, companies are now hiring in droves. The primary struggle in this effort is that the number of experts in this field remain quite limited, as it has grown much faster than the workforce.

Therefore, individuals who are educating themselves and proving themselves skilled and knowledgeable in advertising and promoting over social networks are able to grab onto a solid career opportunity. LinkedIn data has shown that there has been a nearly unbelievable rise of 1,357 percent in the number of positions that have been posted in this field since 2010.

Among the top social media marketing positions that are now being posted are: managers, associates, analysts, and copywriters. There are, according to AOL jobs, also a large number of companies hiring based on strong marketing, communication, business, and English skills because educations and experience in social media are limited.
